C2 Week 4

Geography: European Rivers Traced, erased, played hopscotch with water creatures


Timeline: Sang timeline song, scrambled the timeline and the kids unscrambled it and put it in order.


Science: used hand motions to remember the 3 types of consumers


English: Nominative pronouns sang song and did hand motions


Latin: Passed the bomb. When it landed on a kid they threw it in the air and said their name


History: Learned song and did hand motions


Math: Sang 7s and 8s in funny voices while using our sea creature race cars to race through the numbers.


Art: Abstract art project using oils. Utilized water colors


Science: Experiments from Janice VanCleave’s 201 Awesome, Magical, Bizarre, and Incredible Experiments


#11 On the Move: Marble rolls in a circular path. It rolls farther and faster without the friction from the paper and sand paper liners. This demonstrated the planets moving through space continue to move around the sun because their movement is not restricted by friction.

#12 Speedy: As the length of the string decreases, the washer must be spun around more times in order to keep the string taught. This demonstrated planets further away from the sun travel at a lower speed and the planets closest to the sun travel the fastest.
